DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 27\, 7:30pm \nSisterTree  \nCeltic and Americana folk ensemble SisterTree renders radiant\, expansive harmonies for strings and voices\, and kick it back with old favorites and downright far-fetched selections.  Roving over the wild and storied landscapes of life\, they invoke ancient memories of revelry and bonfires\, song circles and storytelling. From lilt to throttle\, they are Gaia’s sirens atop the scrape of a mountain ridge\, awash in an avalanche of energies hauled up from the bones of earth to the starlight. \n

SUMMARY:Jeff Arundel and Billy McLaughlin
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 29: 7:30 -9:00 pm\nJeff Arundel and Billy McLaughlin\nBilly McLaughlin \nRecognized internationally as a world-class guitarist\, Emmy Award winning composer and inspirational keynote speaker who has appeared on Billboard’s Top-Ten Chart. Previously signed to Virgin Records’ Narada label\, McLaughlin has 14 CD releases\, 3 National Campus Entertainer of the Year Awards*\, 5 Minnesota Music Awards and his decades of national concert touring earned him the Hall of Fame Achievement Award*. But in 1999 McLaughlin vanished from sight as his career crumbled due to a little-known neuro-muscular disorder called Focal Dystonia. After suffering several years without a cure or even a diagnosis\, this right-handed guitarist embarked on an unlikely attempt to regain his career by re-learning his instrument….left-handed! His remarkable comeback is captured in the independent documentary film Changing Keys (seen on PBS stations in 2010) and a concert film called Coming Back Alive featuring McLaughlin with string orchestra and a reunion of his longtime rock band. KPBS (San Diego) produced the 2013 Emmy Award winning live concert program called Starry Night – Billy McLaughlin with Orchestra Nova highlighting McLaughlin’s extraordinary talent as both guitarist and inspirational speaker. Now serving as Ambassador for Awareness for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation\, McLaughlin is the winner of the 2010 Public Leadership in Neurology Award** whose previous winners include Paul Allen\, Julie Andrews\, Leon Fleischer\, and Michael J. Fox. McLaughlin has resumed an international schedule of concert appearances and keynote speaking. He resides in his home state of Minnesota where he is proudly raising two boys. \nJeff Arundel \nJeff Arundel has mounted stages both tiny and large for forty years\, singing wistful songs of romance\, and funky stuff that belies his true wish to be Bill Withers. He has released seven records of (largely) original music\, and in 2019 will release an eighth\, called “Now We Go”. Jeff has won awards\, been featured on various compilations\, opened for Big Artists\, and has traveled the world as a singer-songwriter\, as a producer\, and as a music director. He also founded the ground-breaking Lifestyle music label “Lifescapes” and was a co-founder of Compass Entertainment\, at one time the Midwest’s largest independent concert promoter. Jeff performs with his band “The Hammsmen”\, sometimes called “the most sensitive band in North America”. He regularly plays the Midwest\, often with his lifetime musical brother Billy McLaughlin. Nostalgic\, emotional\, wistful\, funny\, edgier than you’d think\, and maybe Better Than Ever. Now We Go! \nTickets $12 in advance – $15 door

SUMMARY:Bill Miller
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 15\, 7:00 – 8:30pm\nBill Miller is an award-winning Native American recording artist\, performer\, songwriter\, activist\, painter\, and world-class native flute player. SUMMARY:Patchouli and Terra Guitarra
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 8\, 7pm\nMaster guitarist Bruce Hecksel and singer-songwriter Julie Patchouli blend music from their two musical projects Patchouli and Terra Guitarra. Terra Guitarra is reviewed as “one of the top nuevo-flamenco groups in the world” – Zone Music Reporter. They have three top 5 internationally charting albums including Of Sea & Stars just won ZMR Award “Best Instrumental Album of the Year 2017”. \nPublic Radio favorite Patchouli features Julie’s sparkling lead vocals\, beautiful duets and award winning compositions. SUMMARY:Erik Koskinen
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 26\, 7:30pm\n  \nErik Koskinen’s Burning the Deal (June 28\, 2019\, Real Phonic Records/Tone Tree Music) is steeped in American roots and traditions.  \n\n\nBorn in Fort Collins\, Colorado\, raised in Northern Michigan and upper New York state\, then living in urban Minneapolis and now\, rural Minnesota\, Koskinen grew up with the rhythms of weather\, factory towns\, and farmlands. Koskinen worked in construction for years as he developed his music career\, and he now resides on a farm near where he owns a recording studio in Cleveland\, Minnesota\, population 717.  \nOf Burning the Deal\, he says\, “It’s not only Americana music. I learned how to play blues music. I learned how to play country music\, and how to play folk\, bluegrass\, jazz\, whatever. I learned how to play American music.” The nine songs share a stripped-down\, almost naked quality\, but complexities lie just under their skin. Part of that depth can be attributed to the top-notch players Koskinen recruited: Greg Leisz (Jackson Browne\, Beck\, Joni Mitchell) on lap and pedal steel and mandolin\, plus the rhythm section of drummer Jay Bellerose (Alison Krauss and Robert Plant\, Willie Nelson) and bassist Jennifer Condos (Don Henley\, Marc Cohn\, Ray Lamontagne). As for how he managed to gather them together — twice — for recording sessions in Ojai\, California\, Koskinen quips\, “In the music biz\, you’re always one person away from knowing the president.” \n\n\nBurning the Deal\, his fifth album\, follows Cruising Paradise (2018)\, Live at the Real Phonic Radio Hour (2016)\, America Theatre (2014)\, and Keep It to Yourself (2010). \n\n\nCLICK HERE: TICKETS & INFO\nTickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
